Encore Boston Harbor

Encore Boston Harbor opened on June 23, 2019 on a former Monsanto chemical plant site on the Mystic River in Everett, Massachusetts — a USD 2.6 billion development that transformed one of the most contaminated industrial sites in New England into what has been described as a landmark of responsible brownfield regeneration. The casino is the most expensive in American history on a cost-per-square-foot basis.

Designed to Wynn's characteristic ultra-luxury standards — a gold tower, 671 rooms and suites, floor-to-ceiling windows, and the brand's signature carpet patterns and bespoke furniture — Encore Boston Harbor introduced the Wynn experience to the New England market, where no comparable luxury casino hotel had previously existed. Within months of opening, it became the highest-grossing casino in Massachusetts and one of the highest per square foot in the United States.

The Mystic River waterfront location provides an unexpected scenic advantage: the casino faces east towards Boston Harbor, and the hotel's upper floors offer views of Boston's skyline. A water taxi service connecting Encore to Boston's Long Wharf was introduced as an alternative to driving, cutting the effective travel time from downtown Boston to under 20 minutes. The casino floor spans approximately 210,000 square feet with around 3,158 gaming machines and 230+ table games.
