Crown Perth

Crown Perth opened as Burswood Island Casino on December 30, 1985, making it one of the oldest casinos in Australia. Located on the southern bank of the Swan River just east of Perth's CBD, the property was developed on artificial fill — literally an island — and has been progressively expanded over four decades into one of the largest entertainment complexes in Western Australia. The complex was rebranded as Crown Perth in 2012 following Crown Resorts' acquisition.

The casino floor spans approximately 14,000 square metres with around 2,300 gaming machines and 300 table games. Crown Perth operates two casino buildings: the main casino and the separate Burswood on Swan gaming area, configured to serve different market segments. The resort is Perth's primary entertainment destination for concerts, boxing, and major sporting events — the Crown Theatre (formally Burswood Entertainment Complex) seats 2,300 and has hosted some of Australia's most significant headline acts.

Three hotels operate within the Crown Perth precinct: Crown Towers Perth (ultra-luxury, 500 rooms), Crown Metropol Perth (four-star), and Crown Promenade Perth (three-star) — a range that serves business travellers, leisure visitors, and premium guests in a single destination. The complex's waterfront position along the Swan River offers parkland access and walking paths that connect to Perth's broader recreational network.
