MGM National Harbor

MGM National Harbor opened on December 8, 2016 on the banks of the Potomac River in Oxon Hill, Maryland — directly across from Mount Vernon, George Washington's historic estate, and approximately 5 miles south of the Washington DC city centre. The USD 1.4 billion resort is the largest privately funded development in Maryland history and represents MGM Resorts' strategic entry into the Washington DC market.

The resort is designed for business travellers and political/lobbying Washington: its proximity to the capital, combined with MGM's luxury service standards and 308 rooms in a Forbes Five Star-seeking hotel, positions it as a premium MICE destination in a market not previously served by a full-scale casino resort. The Potomac waterfront location provides scenic views from the hotel tower and the casino floor's floor-to-ceiling windows.

The casino floor spans approximately 125,000 square feet with over 3,300 gaming machines and 180+ table games. The property's concert venue, the MGM National Harbor Theater (seating 3,000), has hosted major national touring acts since opening. Dining includes a TAO Asian Bistro, Voltaggio Brothers Steak House (by Top Chef alumni Bryan and Michael Voltaggio), and a Food Hall. The Maryland Live! casino at Arundel Mills and the MGM National Harbor together created a competitive dynamic that transformed Maryland's gaming market within two years of MGM's opening.
