2-7 Triple Draw
The premier lowball poker variant where the lowest hand wins. Aces are always high, and straights and flushes count against you. Three draw rounds give players multiple chances to build the perfect low hand — the nuts is 7-5-4-3-2.
Rules & Gameplay
Each player receives five cards face-down. Unlike standard poker, the lowest hand wins. Aces count as high (bad), and straights and flushes are bad hands. Players go through three draw rounds, discarding unwanted cards and drawing replacements. The dealer must qualify with a 9-low or better (no pair, no straight, no flush, highest card nine or lower) to compete. If the dealer does not qualify, the ante is returned as a push.
Basic Strategy
Stand pat (draw zero) with any made 7-low or 8-low. Draw one card to 9-lows and rough T-lows. Draw two or three cards when holding a pair or high cards. Never draw to a hand that could complete a flush — break up four-card flush draws. Remember: in 2-7 lowball, small cards (2-9) are your friends, aces are your enemy.
