The Venetian Macao

The world's largest casino resort by floor area.

Cotai Strip, Macau SAR, China

Operated by: Sands China Ltd.

The Venetian Macao, owned by Sands China and opened in August 2007, is the largest casino resort in the world by total floor area and the cornerstone property of the Cotai Strip — Macau's answer to the Las Vegas Strip. Modelled architecturally on its Las Vegas sister property but built at larger scale, The Venetian Macao encompasses 10.5 million square feet of total development, housing Asia's largest casino floor.

The casino floor spans approximately 550,000 square feet and features over 3,400 slot machines and 800 gaming tables, offering baccarat, blackjack, roulette, sic bo, and pai gow. The property is Asia's dominant mass-market casino destination, drawing millions of day-trippers from mainland China via the ferry terminals and the Macau-Zhuhai border crossing.

Beyond gambling, the resort contains a 3,000-room all-suite hotel, the 15,000-seat Cotai Arena (which hosts major international concerts and UFC events), 1.2 million square feet of retail across the Grand Canal Shoppes, and over 30 restaurants and bars. The iconic reproduction of Venice's Grand Canal — complete with singing gondoliers — runs through the shopping concourse.
