City of Dreams Macau

Melco's flagship: where Cotai meets extraordinary entertainment.

Cotai Strip, Macau SAR, China

Operated by: Melco Resorts & Entertainment Ltd.

City of Dreams opened in June 2009 and has grown into one of the Cotai Strip's most diversified entertainment destinations, anchored by three hotel brands — Crown Towers, Nüwa (formerly Nuwa), and the Grand Hyatt Macau — spanning over 1,400 rooms. A fourth tower, the Morpheus, opened in 2018 and is universally regarded as one of the most architecturally significant hotels in the world.

Designed by the late Dame Zaha Hadid, Morpheus features a free-form exoskeleton of interlocking steel loops — a structure so structurally complex it required entirely new engineering methodologies. The interior's eight guest rooms per floor are among the most expensive suites in Asia, while the public atrium functions as a gallery of commissioned art.

The casino at City of Dreams covers approximately 420,000 square feet with over 450 gaming tables and 1,500 gaming machines. The property is equally renowned for its entertainment venues, including the 2,000-seat Studio City theatre and the recurring residency of Cirque du Soleil.
