SkyCity Auckland

New Zealand's only full-service casino — beneath the iconic Sky Tower.

Federal Street, Auckland CBD, New Zealand

Operated by: SkyCity Entertainment Group Ltd.

SkyCity Auckland opened on February 12, 1996 and anchors the SkyCity complex at the heart of Auckland's central business district. The defining feature of the development is the Sky Tower — completed in 1997 at 328 metres, it remains the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere and New Zealand's most recognised architectural landmark, visible from up to 80 kilometres on clear days.

SkyCity holds the only full-service casino licence in New Zealand's most populous city, and together with SkyCity Hamilton and SkyCity Adelaide (Australia), forms the core of the SkyCity Entertainment Group's listed portfolio. The Auckland casino floor spans approximately 20,000 square metres across multiple levels, with around 1,600 gaming machines and 100 table games.

The complex surrounding the casino has been expanded over three decades to include four hotels — the Grand by SkyCity (luxury), SKYCITY Hotel (four-star), Horizon Hotel (boutique), and an ibis — plus a convention centre and a concentrated restaurant precinct on Federal Street that functions as one of Auckland's most active dining corridors. The Sky Tower's observation deck and SkyJump bungee attraction bring non-gambling visitors into the complex, integrating it into Auckland's tourism ecosystem beyond its gaming function.
