Galaxy Macau
Local powerhouse of the Cotai Strip — world-class pools, multiple luxury hotels, and premium baccarat.
Cotai Strip, Macau SAR, China
Operated by: Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd.
Galaxy Macau, developed by the locally-listed Galaxy Entertainment Group, opened its first phase on the Cotai Strip in May 2011 and has since expanded into one of the strip's largest integrated resort complexes. Unlike the Las Vegas Sands and Wynn properties nearby, Galaxy is a purely Macanese company — the largest locally-owned casino group in the world by revenue — which gives the property a distinctive character shaped by Macau rather than imported from Nevada.
The casino floor at Galaxy Macau totals approximately 50,000 square metres across multiple phases, with a particular emphasis on premium mass and VIP baccarat. The resort's hotel portfolio includes some of the most prestigious names in global luxury hospitality: JW Marriott Hotel Macau, The Ritz-Carlton Macau, Banyan Tree Macau, and Andaz Macau — each with a distinct positioning.
The Grand Resort Deck, covering 75,000 square metres between the two hotel towers, is one of the most ambitious amenity spaces in the world: it includes a wave pool frequently cited as the world's largest sky pool, four swimming pools, a 150-metre skytop lazy river, and a 450-metre sand beach on a structure elevated above the casino — an architectural achievement without parallel in Asia.
Phase 3 and Phase 4 expansions have progressively added additional hotel rooms, retail, and a Broadway-style theatre, cementing Galaxy's position as a comprehensive destination rather than a pure gaming venue.
